Raíces del Futuro is a community-rooted reciprocity fund supporting Indigenous elders, artists, cultural stewards, ecological guardianship, and ancestral teachings in Costa Rica.
Rooted in Nosara, we use music, cultural offerings, and community gathering as pathways for remembrance and reciprocity — inviting those who receive from this land, its beauty, and its wisdom traditions to give back with dignity, trust, and right relationship.
We have already begun releasing music through Raíces del Futuro in collaboration with world-renowned artists — songs created as prayers, offerings, and pathways for Indigenous reciprocity. Each release invites listeners into remembrance, giving back, and support for Indigenous futures in Costa Rica.

This beauty has been made possible by the people and communities who have tended this land for generations.As Nosara grows, so does the need to restore balance and support the Indigenous families, Nosareños, elders, artists, and cultural stewards who hold its roots. Why Raíces del Futuro?
Nosara, Costa Rica is flourishing — culturally, spiritually, and economically. Yet the traditions that shaped and stewarded this land often remain unsupported. Raíces del Futuro was created to restore balance: an ethical pathway for people who love and benefit from this place to give back to the Indigenous communities and cultural lineages that carry the memory of this earth. This is reciprocity made real, supporting the roots that shape the future. If you receive from this land, you receive from Indigenous wisdom and you are part of supporting Indigenous futures.
How It Works
Raíces del Futuro is guided by the needs of Indigenous elders, cultural stewards, and community leaders, ensuring that resources move toward real, self-identified needs and strengthen cultural sovereignty.
The fund is co-stewarded by Daniel Mora and Karina Turtzo, blending deep local relationships and cultural guidance with nonprofit governance, ethical resourcing, and narrative strategy.
Through The ARC’s 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship, Raíces del Futuro offers a transparent and trustworthy pathway for giving.
Contributions support Indigenous elders, artists, cultural stewards, ecological guardianship, healing justice, and community-led priorities in Costa Rica.
Our Initiatives
In 2026 and 2027, Raíces del Futuro is focusing on two core pathways: music as cultural offerings, and relationship as the foundation for ethical resourcing. We need your support to bring these offerings to life!
Prayers for the Resistance is our first collaborative music album with world renowned artists, bringing together prayer, song, land, memory, and resistance as a living offering. The album creates a bridge between cultural appreciation and material reciprocity, helping generate support for Indigenous elders, artists, cultural stewards, and community-led priorities in Costa Rica. Living Sessions by Raíces del Futuro is our high-season artist residency and live music series in Nosara, Costa Rica. We will invite aligned artists to be housed, honored, and compensated while offering intimate gatherings that bring the community together around music, story, and Indigenous reciprocity.
Indigenous and Elder Outreach remains the heart of our work. Before resources move, we listen. This initiative supports travel, honoraria, dialogue, and relationship-building with Indigenous elders, artists, and community leaders so the fund can respond to self-identified needs with care and integrity.
Our operational foundation allows Raíces del Futuro to function with transparency, accountability, and longevity through The ARC’s fiscal sponsorship, coordination, communications, financial oversight, and ethical stewardship.
